Eligibility/How to Get

Open to Sri Lankan teens aged 13 to 18 years.
Initial deposit: LKR 1,000.
Required documents:
- Teen’s birth certificate.
- Parent/Guardian’s NIC.

Teens aged between 13 and 18 years, who are Sri Lankan nationals, can open this account.
Can teens open the account themselves?
Teens aged 16 to 18 years can open the account independently, with parental approval. For younger teens, presence of a parent or guardian is required.
What is the initial deposit required for the Teen Account?
The initial deposit is LKR 1,000.
What benefits does the Teen Debit Card offer?
The Teen Debit Card allows:
- Cash withdrawals up to LKR 5,000/day.
- Online purchases up to LKR 25,000/day.
- Tap-and-pay transactions up to LKR 5,000/day.
What digital banking features are available?
Teens can access eStatements, SMS alerts, and manage their account via DFCC ONE or Online Banking.
Are there any restrictions on withdrawals?
Withdrawals can only be made via the Teen Debit Card at ATMs.
Can non-residents or non-nationals open a Teen Account?
No, only Sri Lankan residents and nationals are eligible.

Accounts could be opened by Teens between 13 to 18 years of age.
Accounts opened only in Sri Lankan Rupees.
Account to be opened by parent or guardian.
Teens aged between 16 to 18 years can open their own account.
Withdrawals are permitted only through the Teen Debit Card via ATMs.
Joint accounts not allowed.
Non-residents/ non-nationals not permitted to open accounts.
