In line with its commitment to empowering women-led businesses, DFCC Bank has successfully supported 30 female dairy farmers through the Women’s Empowerment Project in Dairy Farming, equipping them with the financial resources and skills needed to enhance milk production, animal care, and business operations.
The initiative, conducted in collaboration with Fonterra, brought together DFCC ALOKA and key industry stakeholders to address critical challenges faced by female dairy farmers. Officials from the Ministry of Livestock, Lands, and Irrigation, the Department of Animal Production and Health, and private sector representatives engaged in discussions on improving access to financial support, modernizing farming techniques, and strengthening market opportunities for women-led dairy businesses. The event underscored the role of public-private partnerships in equipping female entrepreneurs with the tools needed to build financially stable and sustainable agribusinesses.
