DFCC Bank is committed to supporting customers impacted by the recent cyclone and floods. In line with the Central Bank of Sri Lanka’s directives (Circular No. 04 of 2025), we are pleased to offer a range of concessions to ease financial burdens during this challenging time.


Relief is available to borrowers whose income or business has been directly affected by the recent disaster.
Requests must be submitted in writing or electronically by 15th January 2026.
1. Temporary Debt Relief
Suspension of repayment of capital and/or interest for 3 – 6 months, evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
2. New Loan Facilities
Banks may grant new loans after assessing repayment capacity and viability.
3. Fee Waivers
Waiver of charges for:
*Cheque returns
*Stop payments
*Late payment fees
*Restructuring/modification fees
*Penal interest
Applicable until 31st January 2026.

1. Who is eligible to apply for relief?
Individuals or businesses whose income or operations have been directly affected by the cyclone and floods.
2. How do I apply and by when?
Complete the application form and submit it to your nearest branch.
Deadline: 15th January 2026.
3. What temporary debt relief is available?
Eligible borrowers can defer capital and/or interest repayments for 3 – 6 months (case-by-case basis).
4. Can I obtain a new loan under the relief scheme?
Yes. Banks may extend new borrowing after evaluating impact and viability.
5. Are any fees waived under the scheme?
Yes. All listed fees are waived until 31st January 2026.
6. How will banks ensure transparency?
Banks must clearly communicate terms and decisions.
7. What if my bank rejects my request for relief?
The bank must provide written reasons for rejection.
