DFCC Aloka and MSME Viyapara Sahaya Sponsored the Galle District Women Chamber of Commerce AGM 2022
The Galle District Women Chamber of Commerce (GDWCC) concluded its AGM on 27th August 2022 with the participation of over 100 female entrepreneurs from all walks of life.
DFCC Galle branch took the initiative to partner this event by sponsoring it creating visibility for DFCC Bank.
Representing the Galle WCC, Mr. Hemantha Gamage, Chairman, Galle District Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Saman Wewelwala, Vice President, Galle District Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Rathnasiri Manamperi, Treasurer, Galle District Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Saliya Pushpakumara, CEO Galle District Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Jayamini Senevirathna, Consultant Galle District Women Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Wasana Priyanthi, President Galle District Women Chamber of Commerce graced the occasion.
Mr. Pradeep Alwis (VP / Regional Manager, R 06) addressed the gathering and stated that DFCC Bank had been a pillar of strength over the past 65 plus years, enabling a broader community to benefit from Bank’s products, services, and expertise.
Ms. Shera Hassen, Vice President (Head of Pinnacle /Branch Banking Planning & Implementation), addressed the forum on how the Bank has empowered females across the nation, offering them both financial & non-financial benefits, offering holistic banking solutions to uplift all females, may it be a homemaker, employee, or a businessperson.
Ms. Ruwani Weerasinghe, Senior Relationship Manager/Product Manager Aloka, explained all the products, features, and benefits of DFCC Aloka and invited those who were present to join the DFCC Aloka family to avail themselves of the value proposition that DFCC Aloka offers.
A presentation was also conducted by Ms. Nissansala Nawarathna (Refinance Manager, Refinance Unit) on Refinance Loan schemes and different funding lines available for females.
Guest speaker Ms. Nilmini Dassanayake, Director of Bondville (Pvt) Ltd (A client of DFCC Galle Branch), addressed the gathering on her journey of success. She is an Engineer by profession who has become a remarkably successful businessperson in the Apparel Industry.
Booklets on Viyapara Athwela and Aloka souvenirs were handed over to all the participants.
The Galle District Women Chamber of Commerce distributed plants & seeds among all participants, encouraging females to start their home gardening.
DFCC Galle Branch Manager, Mr. Anuradha De Silva and all the staff members of Galle Branch and the Regional Coordinator Mr. Osanda Gunathilake were also at the event. The Branch arranged four counters to open accounts at the event and managed to open 75 Aloka Accounts and 01 Current account. They also canvassed 18 credit cards and 2 AIA policies and were able to gather many leads for MSME facilities.
