Life at DFCC
DFCC Bank strives to build an engaged workplace culture with emphasis on diversity and inclusion. We believe that a happy workforce will be a more productive workforce and invest a lot of time and energy to provide a gamut of experiences and opportunities to engage our employees.
Our culture rotates around our core value system and staff are encouraged to demonstrate and personify these values. Our values are close to our hearts and were developed with the input of all employees. The project was driven by a committee of cross functional employees from different grades.
Our Values are :
- Team Oriented
- Socially Responsible
Employee support Initiatives
At DFCC we recognize that sometimes employees have queries and concerns and need a helping hand. We have several options available to staff to seek redressal such as a formal grievance escalation process, a cross functional Grievance Committee as well as a programme, “Reachout”, which is available to female employees to surface issues and seek assistance on any professional or personal impediments they may face.
The Bank practices an open door policy with the senior management, including the CEO, being freely accessible to all employees. In addition we have periodic “Open Days” where the Chairman, CEO and representatives of the Grievance and Reachout Committees set aside time to meet staff one on one to listen to their ideas for bank improvement and other concerns they may have.
Fitness & Well being Initiatives
With the rising epidemic of non communicable diseases across the nation we emphasize healthy living and encourage our employees to take care of their health and that of their families. Towards this end many initiatives such as subsidized medical schemes, exercise programmes and awareness building activities are conducted throughout each year for employees and their families.
The bank has an active social calendar from which employees can choose to attend the events they like. Events include an annual trip, avurudu pola, Bhakthi Gee, sports meet, Dinner dance, Themed parties, Quizzes, Christmas Party for DFCC kids, Christmas carols, department decorating competitions , etc.
In addition to the above each department and branch are encouraged to appoint a social director to organize events for their teams and thus frequent meetups are also organized.
