Employee support Initiatives
At DFCC, we recognise that sometimes employees have queries and concerns and need a helping hand. We have several options available for employees’ seeking redressal, such as a formal grievance escalation process, a cross-functional Grievance Committee, as well as a programme, “Reach Out”, which is available to female employees to surface issues and seek assistance on any professional or personal impediments they may face.
The Bank practices an open-door policy with the senior management, including the CEO, being freely accessible to all employees. In addition, we have periodic “Open Days” where the Chairman, CEO and representatives of the Grievance and Reach Out Committees set aside time to meet employees one-on-one to listen to their ideas for bank improvement and other concerns they may have.
Fitness and Well Being
The Bank’s fitness initiative, OMMM, promotes a healthy lifestyle for team members and families. We offer subsidised medical schemes, varied exercise programmes, fitness competitions, gym memberships, awareness-building activities, and mindfulness and mental wellness initiatives. One of our flagship projects is promoting cycling as a lifestyle across our network.
Social Events
The Bank has an active social calendar from which employees can choose to attend events they like. Events include an annual trip, Avurudu Pola, Bhakti Gee, sports days, Dinner dance, themed parties, quizzes, Christmas parties, special events for DFCC kids, Christmas carols, department decorating competitions, annual art, and photography competition, etc.
