CEFT Transaction process to conduct TAX payments

Tax Payments via CEFT

Due to the prevailing situation in the country, the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) has announced that the tax payers can conduct their tax payments via CEFT to the credit of the IRD account maintained at Bank of Ceylon, Taprobane Branch.

All customers of DFCC Bank with online banking and DFCC iConnect facilities could conduct TAX payments to Inland Revenue Department (IRD) via CEFT transactions by following the below process.



Clients with DFCC Online Banking

  • Secure mail facility extended through online banking can be used to send instructions to the bank

  • Customer should provide following mandatory info in the mail body,
    o TIN Number
    o Tax type code
    o Tax Amount

  • All requests received within Banking hours will be processed on the same day and any requests received after will be processed before 9.00 AM on the next working day.


Clients with DFCC iConnet Cash Management facility

  • Customer should send an email to iconnectsupport@dfccbank.com with following mandatory info
    o TIN Number
    o Tax type code
    o Tax Amount

  • All requests received within Banking hours will be processed on the same day and any requests received after will be processed before 9.00 AM on the next working day.


Payment Request via Branches

  • Customers who don’t have the above facilities should provide following details in writing to the nearest DFCC branch
    o TIN Number
    o Tax type code
    o Tax Amount

  • All requests received within Banking hours will be processed on the same day and any requests received after will be processed before 9.00 AM on the next working day.
