We have a structured process in identifying our key talent and providing them with development opportunities to take on higher level responsibilities. All our employees have a plan to chart their development needs and access to regular training and skills development opportunities. The Bank has in place a transparent performance management process with individual achievements being mapped against assigned goals and targets.
Promotions and Performance Management
At junior and executive levels of staff careers, promotions are tenure and performance based . Entry to management level positions are based on competency fit, performance and the availability of positions in the cadre.
Annual performance targets are cascaded down based on Bank goals to department level and then to the individual. Goals are assigned in discussion with employees concerned.
Rewards and Recognition
The Bank has varied reward and recognition schemes to accommodate the needs and competencies of our staff. Variable pay and annual increments are based on performance and employees who go the extra mile are recognized and appreciated.

Our sales staff are also eligible for incentive payments on business generated by them, with the current schemes being some of the most attractive available in the market at present.
Training and Development
DFCC has consistently believed in the importance of investing in our employees and upgrading their competencies. As such, our employees are provided with ample opportunities to keep expanding and honing in their skill sets. We have a comprehensive e learning platform in addition to customized inhouse and external programmes, including provision of overseas skilling opportunities. Other development mechanisms such as coaching and mentoring, short term and long term job rotations, special assignments and job enrichment opportunities are also available to employees who are open to taking up challenges and capitalizing on opportunities.
We offer two special programmes “Ascension” and “Rise” for our employees, with the former focusing on grooming high potentials to take on higher level roles and the latter customized to provide some hand holding for employees experiencing performance difficulty. We also offer reskilling programmes for junior level staff who take on new roles outside their usual sphere of work.
The Bank also has its very own Toastmasters Club, where our employees are able to fine tune their public speaking, presentation and leadership skills. The club has received many awards from the district including the Golden Gavel and the Quality Club Award.
