WCIC Santa’s Village Powered by DFCC Aloka!
The Capacity Building Pillar of the Women’s Chamber of Industry and Commerce, under the leadership of Ms Nayana Karunaratne, organized the annual Christmas Fair, “Santa’s Village,” featuring over 80 female entrepreneurs from across the island offering a range of products for the festive season.
The event occurred on December 10th, 2022, at the Women’s International Club in Colombo 7. Notably, the esteemed Music Teacher and Director of Access, Shyama Perera, was the event’s chief guest. Additionally, Mr Jegan Durairatnam, the Chairman of DFCC, and his wife were present to showcase their support for female entrepreneurship.
The welcome address was delivered by Ruwani Weerasinghe Senior Manager/Product Manager DFCC Aloka and Shera Hassen, Head of Pinnacle/Retail Banking Planning and Implementation, along with Chandana Wanigasena, Vice President MSME, enlightened the gathering of female entrepreneurs on the vast opportunities DFCC bank provides for both personal and business growth.
DFCC also had a banking stall for their DFCC ALOKA/MSME and Junior products, partnering with the aspirations of Sri Lankan women entrepreneurs DFCC Aloka proudly sponsored the event.
